It's too bad they couldn't take maybe 1% of their spying staff and use them to actually make their products functional.
Just last week, I had a coworker get a BSOD on a relatively new corporate PC after an update. If you had told me back in the 90s that we'd still be dealing with craptacular software from MS 30 years in the future, I'd have thought you were crazy, but here we are.
But we're a MS shop at work, and likely to stay that way. MS is too entrenched and, even though we have some Unix/Linux, most of our staff (both regular and technical) have spent their careers around MS products so there's no impetus to change. Sadly, even with this announcement, it's unlikely to make a dent, much as I'd like that not to be the case.
Most people just live in their comfortable rut until something forced their choices. You are right. It won't make a dent.
Can you imagine even with this much information coming out about vaccines, a lot of people will continue to take vaccines of all kinds (shingles, flu, tetanus...etc). People are creatures of habits
TBF, I was there. Despite being partially awake even though wifey was already getting suspicious of vaccines before Covid.
At the time, I'd been working in healthcare for about 7 years so mandatory flu shots. Once I saw what was happening with Covid, it ended up being the mandatory flu shot that made me leave the hospital. I don't trust any of that crap anymore. Haven't seen a doc, nor have I been sick since the month before Covid broke out.
I'm sure it's coincidence that since I stopped getting the flu vax, I haven't been sick...

It's Bill Gates. You don't expect him to create something to help us or even give us a decent product, do you?
Got to pay more but I would go with Linux.
I'm using Linux right now. Zorin.
