2 Peter 1:3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
We have all things that pertain to life and godliness right now. We are connected to life and godliness right now.
Jesus Christ calls is to glory now, as Jesus Christ is risen, so we are risen sons of God. We walk In virtue which is excellence now through the perfect Holy Spirit that is put in us through faith.
4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
We are partakers of God’s nature through faith in Jesus Christ and the new birth experience of the Holy Spirit.
We've escaped the corruption in the world. We don't identify with corruption. I am not corrupt and I won't be corrupted, I will not be governed by a corrupt government.
I follow Jesus Christ.
That is my government.
Are you sure you're clear.
You might have a bit of Babylon doctrine clouding your judgement.
That's OK, repent.
Romans 8 is a lot of how to overcome Babylon. Babylon lies, it tells you, that you are still subject to it. Romans 8 says you are a son of God because you follow the Spirit. Babylon says nothing is yet perfect, Romans 8 says you are in the Spirit. The Spirit is perfect. So I learned to affirm what Romans says.
Romans 7 shows man captive to the flesh. Romans 8 shows man overcoming the flesh.
The Revelation of Jesus Christ is much about overcoming fallen Babylon.
Babylon represents the lie, Jesus Christ is faithful and true, and we are in Jesus Christ, and Jesus Christ is in us by the Holy Spirit.
It's a great topic, the spiritual interpretation of Revelation. The dragon would rather us interpret it as carnal, then we miss the power of God in the heavens where Jesus Christ is at the right hand of our father God, and we are seated with Him right now. That is authority.
I prefer to see it as happening as we speak.
These are exciting times.
I understand better where you are coming from now. I really had not seen it quite that way. The last church I went to a few years back, Baptist, in a bible study I said we were seated with Christ in heavenly places now. The preacher purposely embarrassed me and said that was a place holder scripture for the future. I knew he was wrong and I never went back. Done with Sunday churches. "I prefer to see it happening as we speak." I'm on-board with that. I will be looking at Romans 7&8 again. Have a good night.
