They also had $15 million to spend.. it’s not like filming takes years, most productions 1-3 months of filming MAX.. unironically cheap to pay 30 people for a month trip when you have millions to spend. Let’s not go off of our personal FEELINGS.

EDIT i just saw the timcast interview, and stated that the ex-seals were hired for protection. I should've caught on that they were Ex, likely implying private contractors and less likely authorized by 45potus.

They would roll like that.
Issue I have? Having ex seals as security is really expensive.
Doubt they would have paid that during the production of a movie with this budget.
Now, it is possible that Tim got a group of seals to offer services for beer and a fun time out, but hard to believe it was 30.
