Not to pee on anybody’s Wheaties but why do I get the feeling they’re going to try to figure out a way to prevent Trump from discovery or calling any witnesses. Maybe they’ll just drop the charges and then try to find some other pot to stir…

I think you may be right, but they engaged the "storm" and now they are going to have to fight through it. None of this: "We made a mistake" ... after all the buildup, they have engaged.
