Raw milk is illegal in my state, the only way to get it is to milk my own. I've been trying to buy land for years now (inflated prices), eventually we will get there.
Thankfully, it's legal in mine. But why is it illegal? Is it to stop the good bacteria or is it to actually protect people's safety? I am always looking at food quality regardless if it's packaged/processed or not. It really is buyer beware when it comes to anything we buy, so I'm digging to find more
It's out of ignorance, they think they are protecting us, or at least that's how this all started. However in the modern age there is no excuse, now they just do it likely because they are paid off to keep the local farmer down. Big dairy doesn't sell raw milk, you have to get that local.
