I actually heard from one of the Texas reps who voted to impeach Paxton the other day. There was a limit to what he could say, for obvious reasons, but he did say that they presented 'disturbing' evidence about Paxton. He seems more integrity focused (think more old fashioned politician) and it seems he was likely lied to given what else has come out.
Unfortunately, while he says he is in favor of improving schools, he's opposed to tax-funded school vouchers that would let parents use what they contribute for education to put their kids in private schools. His justification was that what parents get wouldn't be enough to pay for a private school and that schools in inner-city wouldn't get enough money and those areas don't have any private schools in their area.
He's also not true pro-life either and is open to making the exceptions you hear about all the time like safety of the mother (which isn't an issue with modern technology), child conceived after rape, and such. Entirely discounting the fact that the child is a living being with unique DNA from its mother, has a heartbeat at a very young age, and the other things that destroy the abortion argument.
They say this but they never say precisely what it is. Nor does the RINO prosecution ever say what crimes he committed” when saying “it was clear AG Paxton was breaking the law.” Precisely how? He and Mrs. Paxton are guilty of having bad taste in granite countertops is all that has been confirmed.
