I stopped contributing to ALL charities from a while now. The whole mindset of "giving" seems a big scam to me. You are psychologically forced into giving, otherwise could end up feeling guilty especially when filling out tax forms. I have been comfy typing big fat zero from past few years.

Giving and sharing should come from the heart, unconditionally. Not due to any obligations, expectations or pity.
