The number 13 always ends up associated with betrayal in many stories. There were 13 people in the Last Supper, 11 faithful, the master, and the traitor. There were also 13 gods in Asgard in the day Loki (the traitor) used trickery to kill Baldr.
There should be 13 months in a year. October should be month 8. Look into it.
I believe they try to scare us away from number 13. Away from its true meaning and energy.
October used to be #8 back when March was the start of the new year. That's why the month names are out of sync now.
By the way, the Jewish calendar, because of them following the moon and the sun, has to have a 13th month added occasionally, Adar II.
