I discovered it a year or so before Covid, to treat mites on my dog. I followed a suggestion to use Cow Dip on him externally. Then about 6 months later, I was reading online reviews on shampoo to treat lice. One of the kids had it and the over the counter remedies weren't working. Someone suggested using Ivermectin. That word sounded familiar...I looked at the Cow Dip bottle and there it was, "Ivermectin". I still didn't know how to pronounce it, ha. But I added some to shampoo and had the best lice treatment ever, it worked after the first dose while all the others failed.
Then came the drama of Covid and I kept hearing that word again. Learned the difference between the external dip, the drinkable injection, and the tasty paste. It's now my first defense against colds and flu or for a detox as needed. Use it externally too and also use it once in awhile on dogs. Wish it killed fleas but at least it does a number on mites.
Interesting article about treating such horrible tropical diseases. A very good read, thanks for posting!
Specifically, treating parasitic illnesses, tiny worms spread by bug bites and the like.
