Hmmmm, just got back from the daughter’s ranch. Had to move the the Chicken Coup each day - chickens ate all those ingredients out of the ground (plus scraps of tomatoes, apples, squash from the canning she was doing.) so we want cut out the chicken why?

The chickens eat that. We don’t. Do you think we digest the same as a chicken? They are able to digest bugs that we can not. Chitin is bad for us.

FYI mushrooms also contain chitin, so keep that in mind if you want to avoid ingesting it.
