55 mins in, seems a bit unchristian. Their description of catholicism while accurate seems to veer towards disparaging God's plan in general.
Also a blatant misquotation of "Kings 1 vs 36" claims to prove the Bible is calling for worship of Amun by the use of the word Amen? 🤔 dafuq?
Yea I find some of the postulations disturbingly heretical as well. I had heard that claim about amen/Amon previously but cannot recall where. I make no testament to the veracity of the content. Take what you can use and disregard the rest, I guess.
It seems to go along with a lot of the very in depth word association stuff I read on here sometimes. Some is interesting but at some point there are only so many letters and sounds to use tho.
Also why would the interchangeability of vowels in Hebrew mean an EGYPTIAN god name would be any variation of a 4 letter word with M and N in it? Lol
Amen Amon Aman Amen Amin Omen Omin Oman Omom etc etc
IDK I am not an etymologist, much less a translator in ancient languages. Still, word usage/meanings/intent do change over time. (Take the word “gay,” for example in just the last fifty years.) I personally am not gong to stop saying “amen” with pureness of heart.
Same
No one who has ever read the Bible would cite "kings 1 vs 36" because it's not even a proper citation.
1 Kings 1:36 is what they actually mean. Missing the chapter in their quote.
Why would someone use the Bible to try to prove something that was untrue?
IDK, seems to me people will use anything to substantiate a claim; the Bible no exception. 🤷🏻♂️
True. It just sort of ruins the message for ppl who understand. A casual Christian might be fooled
