Celebrate my birth at the right time, make it ABOUT ME ~SEND A HERALD TO RUN WITH IT~
Luke 2:11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
Do NOT let a pagan festival-Halloween- take the place of my birthday!!
Joel 2:13 And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.
Isaiah 40:9 You who bring good news to Zion, go up on a high mountain. You who bring good news to Jerusalem, lift up your voice with a shout, lift it up, do not be afraid; say to the towns of Judah, “Here is your God!”
Put away your pagan festivals and celebrations which are not of me. What have a Christmas tree, Santa or Easter Bunny or Eggs to do with me.
Jeremiah 10:1-4 The Sovereignty of God 1Hear the word that the LORD speaks to you, O house of Israel. 2This is what the LORD says: “Do not learn the ways of the nations or be terrified by the signs in the heavens, though the nations themselves are terrified by them. 3For the customs of the peoples are worthless; they cut down a tree from the forest; it is shaped with a chisel by the hands of a craftsman. 4They adorn it with silver and gold and fasten it with hammer and nails, so that it will not totter.
Put away false god, idol and pagan worship. Be thankful for my death on the cross and celebrate my resurrection
2 Chronicles 31:1 When all this had ended, the Israelites who were there went out to the towns of Judah, smashed the sacred stones and cut down the Asherah poles. They destroyed the high places and the altars throughout Judah and Benjamin and in Ephraim and Manasseh. After they had destroyed all of them, the Israelites returned to their own towns and to their own property.
1 Thessalonians 4:14 For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.
Luke 24:6 He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: Revelation 5:6 Then I saw a Lamb, looking as if it had been slain, standing at the center of the throne, encircled by the four living creatures and the elders. The Lamb had seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth.
Celebrate ME and Focus your attentions back ON ME
Isaiah 30:29 You shall have a song As in the night when a holy festival is kept, And gladness of heart as when one goes with a flute, To come into the mountain of the LORD, To the Mighty One of Israel.
Ezekiel 11:19 I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh.

Here is an interesting movie about the topic of Christmas. Much of Christmas does reflect Christ and biblical themes. We just forgot to include him in much of it. It's all about where your heart lies though. We can celebrate Christmas in a godly way Kirk Cameron saves Christmas
Needs to be refocused everywhere and at right time. Someone wayyy back catered and caved in to pagan holidays to ‘what be respectful or not offend pagans? Why?
I think winter is meant to be symbolic since we don't know the exact date for sure. Winter solstice is when light begins to over take the darkness. Just like what Jesus birth did :)
I think we can bring Jesus back into these things without getting legalistic because then we focus on our own pride
Watch that movie when you get a chance. It might add some insight
Pride has notta to refocusing our attentions on Him-He wants our attentions, devotions, love, a compromise here another there is not complete devotion to Jesus. Looking at when John the Baptist (Jesus cousin) who was six months his elder was born in early spring then adding six months, puts Jesus birth around September/October.
All you are doing is guessing on a date. If the Bible said Jesus was born on this or this date, you would have an argument. Truth is we don't know so some date had to be picked. Chrismas is meant to represent all those things you said in its original form. Do a deep dive on St Nick. Interesting dude :) Remember the pharasisses also thought what they were doing was complete devotion to God and yet they missed out on a lot of things because pride prevented them from seeing God's true purpose. It has nothing to do with the date of Christmas, nor a tree or anything else. Those can all be used as anchors to remember Jesus and his work. We just forgot what they actually stood for. The movie I shared puts a unique perspective on things
