Beautiful story. You have to read between the lines of course. My guess is the parents wanted to wait till the baby was able to live without being connected to the mother as long as the mother was ok. It worked! The part of the story that is suspect is that if this kind of pregnancy is rare and even more rare that the baby would survive why did the medical establishment lose track of the mother and child? Wouldn't you want to do many follow ups bc this is a rare and amazing occurrence medically??? We can all guess why this isn't making the 6 o'clock news.

If that was an ectopic pregnancy, then it's certain the doctors would recommend they get an abortion.
