With 2 pilots on board, the likelihood of one just falling out of the sky is low, but when the plane is taking off and landing, this is when it's most vulnerable. Climbing out and the pilot "dies suddenly", the copilot will not have enough time to react before the plane just noses into the ground in a fireball. Same for landing. A news chopper just crashed outside of Philadelphia, the pilot was 67 and no doubt fully jabbed up. Flight radar said the chopper started descending steadily right into the woods. IF he was having mechanical issues, you would think he would have radioed that the chopper was descending over the period of like 2 miles, and he's not able to recover it, but nope!
Not true. The co-pilot can easily take control if the pilot dies, this is part of their simulator training. The dead pilot won't interfere with the controls as he is strapped in.
I don't know about the "easily" part. Take off and landing are so crucial because the plane is close to the ground. A thirty second error could be fatal.
