Hi, What you say is commonly taught in today's churches. It is the churches way of looking at the world and trying to make the bible fit the world they see. To understand God it is better to make the world fit the bible. It does help to have the right people in the correct roles though. Here is the logical equivalent statement of Galatians 3:29. "If ye be not Abraham's seed, or not heirs according to the promise, then ye are not Christ's." The modern day Jews are not, and have never been, God's Israel people as proven by the bible, history and even Jewish writings. Many of those living in Judea at the time of Christ were of Edom. Here is a little more literal translation of John 1:11 "He came into His own land, and the men of the country received Him not." In John 8 those who Christ said were of their father the devil admitted they were not Israelites. They were of Esau/Edom. Edom is in modern Jewry and as God says, He will be at war with them for ever.
But how would that teaching reconcile, with Paul in Romans 11? He says he is an Israelite of the tribe of Benjamin, then in verse 14 he talks about how he is trying to save some of his brethren, the ones who are the ones in disbelief.
He also calls the Jews, the majority of whom are currently in disbelief, a "natural olive branch". He says that at a later time, the natural olive branch will be grafted in again. Presumably meaning that the majority of this same Jewish people will believe.
The answer is in the Hebrew and Greek texts. There are no Jews or Gentiles in the bible as those words are defined by the churches today. In the old testament it is Judah or Judahites. In the new testament they are Judeans (as in country). It was a mixed lot with many of Edom causing trouble. Gentile is a Latin word put in the bible to protect existing church doctrine. It just means nation. many times the nation, based on context is the Northern Ten Tribes living in Europe at the time of Christ. Romans 2:14-15, 9:24-25, Ephesians 2:11 and 1 Timothy 2:7 are all example instances where those Nations (Gentiles) were Israelites. Chapter 11 is good, but can't really go into all that now. The grafting is only for Israel. Do you know about God's divorce and promise to remarry Israel? The modern day Jews are not, and have never been, God's Israel people as proven by the bible, history and even Jewish writings. As a people they are anti-Christ and enemies of God. By their own writings, 90% are of Khazar, Ashkenaz descent through Japheth. Esau is Edom, Genesis 36. "Edom is in modern Jewry", The Jewish Encyclopedia. 9% are of Edomite, Canaanite descent. These are the descendants of those who argued with Christ and saw to Christ's death. See what he told them in John 8 and 10. They admitted they were not Israelites. Blessing God's enemies brings punishment to us and they know about Balaam.
I still don't think that is Biblical. Cornelius is not a Jew and so the Jewish believers are surprised when he receives the Holy Spirit just as they do. This surprised Peter because Cornelius was not of their race so it says (acts 10:34)
"Opening his mouth, Peter said: I most certainly understand now that God is not one to show partiality,"
Also, Galations 3:28:
"There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus."
So, I don't believe it is only Jews who moved to Europe who are currently believing in Christ.
Cornelius was an Israelite, not a Jew. There were two groups once again. The Northern Ten tribes had been divorced by God (Jeremiah 3:8) and lost the right to be called Israel (which means ruling with God). Gentile is a Latin word that was put in our bibles to hide doctrine that was not in line with the church of England at the time. The word is just plain Nation. Let the context determine who is the nation. In 4 locations and probably more the context requires that the Nation is the Ten Northern tribes. I need to make a list. I have written much of this on line if you are interested, but here is the logical equivalent statement of Galatians 3:29 "If ye be not Abraham's seed, or not heirs according to the promise, then ye are not Christ's." The modern day Jews are not, and have never been, God's Israel people as proven by the bible, history and even Jewish writings. I would enjoy continuing this with you.
