Never heard of this wonder if that's happening where I live. A 3 br house back in like 2009-2011 the rent was like 700$ a month for said house. I rented a studio apartment for 300 a month. A 3 br slowly crept up to 800-900$ a month around 2015-2019. Then all of a sudden the California exodus happen, they started buying up properties here. Now rent for same 3 br is 1800$+ a month. Top employer in said Town is Walmart, madness.
