Create a problem, then offer a "solution." Same mob-type protection racket the left has used trying to accomplish much of their agenda...

• Covid and the Vaccine.

• Mass shootings and gun control.

The fact that border patrol was all for the deal, makes you wonder the loyalty and competency of that Union. Maybe they need replacing. If they were so good at their jobs, they should have been screaming off the roof tops a few years ago when people were flooding in at a criminally high rate.
