This has been going on for far longer than Netflix even existed. Recall "Married With Children" many years ago? What you describe was well under way even back then. The rise of silly movies and TV shows that depict oh-so-POWERFUL WOMEN (!!!) taking down bad guys with physical strength alone is almost laughable, if it didn't lure young women into thinking they could do the same thing on the mean streets of our cities. Yeah, try that with two thugs on a dark street corner, girl, you're gonna lose a lot more than your purse.
