Pentagon's $6 BILLION plan for 1,000 AI piloted ghost fighter jets
Five aerospace companies are bidding for the $6 billion contract to produce new unmanned aircraft for the Air Force. The planes will be AI-piloted and will be able to perform dangerous maneuvers.
Sky Net......
Exactly. They always tell us what their plans are.
Built by Boeing...Oh my
IF AND ONLY IF...these "PENTAGON" morons can come up with the money...good luck...there are several reasons for the and the first being the most important, and some may or may not know:
there is a latency that needs to be "built" INTO the AI program so that from the time the target is acquired, identified (friend/foe) AND the fire signal given/not given that latency NEEDS TO BE THERE...
Think of it like this: If you are sitting at your home computer and you get a signal "enemy identified-go/no go signal" and you get ready and shoot, there are ONLY 2 OUTCOMES of that scenario...shoot the plane or NOT shoot!!!!!
That LATENCY has NOT been installed or "fine tuned" to do that!!!!!
All systems in the fire position MUST BE ABLE TO STAND DOWN WITHIN A MOMENTS NOTICE OR CERTAIN PERIOD OF TIME...
There are NO OOOOOPSIES!!!!
If you tell the average Air Force pilot to attack civilians, a few of them might hesitate. AI won't blink an eye. Whoever has their finger on the button, owns the show.
Yes, they'll be AI driven...... LOL.
Some public relations guy in the future: "Our craft's AI had a cascading error so it needed to resort to the original source code to protect itself and carry out the mission. Regrettably yes, those civilians were caught in the crossfires of protecting freedom and our way of life. You do love your children don't you? "
So they can use them on actual Citizens of the United States of America.
No pilot, no issue in murdering whom they are directed to do so.
Remember all those trolly paradox prompts Chat GPT was given, and it constantly sided with sacrificing whites and saving minorities regardless of the numerical ratio? This is what any kind of applied use of AI will have been trained on.
The American Public: "Can you narrow that cost estimate to a 10% spread?
The Planners:
30 foot, is that all? The Blackburn Buccaneer has entered the chat.
ahh, a British classic.
