I questioned the man over the polls this morning when I voted. We use a paper ballot and insert it into a machine that is not connected to the internet and the vote is counted. When the machine is opened to get the ballots, they are matched with the count on the machine and then the votes are matched with the count. I asked him why even have a machine if it is all done by hand anyway and he had no answer.
Well a little late since TODAY is election day in Mississippi!
