The federal government says it plans to explore new measures to expand access to "alternative financing products, like halal mortgages.”

So, "interest" is bad. "Fees" are perfectly fine. Got it. What's unsaid is that this move conveniently allows the government and others to sidestep of any law related to the charging of "interest" since "interest" is no longer being charged . What could go wrong? Wake up people.
