Which is exactly why Jesus was constantly calling the Pharisees and the Sadducees out on their man-made interpretations and traditions of the Law. (The Sanhedrin was the established court and religious law enforcers for the Pharisees and the Sadducees who held different beliefs.). Jesus referred to them as “snakes.” None of these listed traditions and beliefs are written in the Torah or the Old Testament. This is a huge reason why they had Him crucified. It was all about pride and power over the people. Even as a Christian, follow the Word of the Lord and use discretion. Be a follower of Christ instead of being a “Christian” is my salvation insurance against this heresy.
