Sounds good but flawed. Most who evaluate themselves by what they think they know of themselves, when (evaluating someone else's (sin) compared to how they see themselves) eventually end up saying "I would never do that" when someone else's sin reaches a level that they think they are not capable of. That's why God says, in (2 Corinthians 10:12) "Those Who judge themselves by themselves and among themselves are not wise" God's word is the mirror (James 1:24) and God's word shows us what we are and what we're capable of, it is only upon seeing ourself as we (truly) are (from God's perspective) can we fully understand our need of salvation, driving us to pray for others on a level we never imagine before.
