John McAfee had somehow pissed off congress. They were putting pressure on the country he was living in to arrest him.

He sent those members a free laptop with his security software on it. So, he knew what they were doing. Sort of like picking up a USB drive in the parking lot and plugging into your computer. That is how dumb these people are.
