I teach in university. I’ve had several Muslim students and, tbh, have more in common with them than my white liberal colleagues. I’m a white Christian.

My only experience has been that they are good, family-focused, and spiritual people.

I live in Northern Africa for a while (Muslim country) and I understand what you said. They are family focused and spiritual but they also try very hard to convert people aggressively. Unlike Christians' live and let live, they will try to convert you to their faith. If you were a foreign women, watch out.
