Just remember that elections were called off due to war (see Lincoln). This nursing home escapee could well trigger the same. But would Russia take the bait?
Lincoln did not suspend elections: "We cannot have free government without elections; and if the rebellion could force us to forego, or postpone a national election, it might fairly claim to have already conquered and ruined us."
No, he merely declared war on the states that, as was there right, had decided to secede from the Union. Thereby effectively destroying States Rights and Sovereignty.
OH I agree with that. Lincoln was a traitor to this nation. But I was fact-checking the actual comment.
