Never assume that every veteran has PTSD.
Very true statement... Cheers fren... ☕☕☕
Most “veterans “ never saw combat and ride the coattails of those that did
1917 1945 1951 1975 1991 were different times with different men
Combat veterans today are carrying a lot more stupid people on their backs than they used to and deserve all the respect in the world
The DMV rejects making their lives miserable are getting the same perks and recognition
It’s not fair to the real soldiers
It is amazing the difference in experiences between my grandfather (WW II vet) and his son (my uncle, Vietnam vet). I swear when grandpa talked about WW II he remembered parts of it fondly, that he knew the sacrifices were worth it and he was proud to have made them.
I only heard my uncle talk about Vietnam once and that was when some military records I had assisted him in requesting arrived (Agent Orange exposure is harming his vision as he ages and I think it has caused some other damage to his mind). He asked me to read some details about his service and laughed when I told him it said he served in a transportation company. He said that was not at all what he did in that war, and then he changed the subject without further elaborating what he DID do in that war.
Evidence here. Prayers up for your uncle, fren.
