"it" says "that gender is immutably determined at birth". Sorry, it's much earlier than that. Try conception.

I completely agree that our spirit does pre-exist our conception. The usage of "at birth" here is a device used by "it" to suggest that gender is "fluid" and therefore can be "chosen". Even lacking spirituality, from a purely physical point of view, gender is physically determined at conception and is immutable. XX. XY. And rare variations that are also part of God's plan.
