I also vaguely remember the strange stories of how many survivors were mysteriously made dead afterwards...but yes the Las Vegas shooting went quietly into the night with no follow up or analysis [except for the boards].

[Reminds me of Crooks 'detonator' and the white van packed with explosives story that came out and then disappeared with no follow up.]
