It's cultists. If you show their behavior to a psychologist and don't tell them it's happening in politics but in religion it would instantly be labeled a cult.
I have told my wife many times that the Demoncratric Party has turned into a cult. I was raised a Democrat, as a young man in the 60's, and this is not the same party. RFK Jr.s speech when he dropped out of the race was a mic drop moment. I hope a lot more people wake up.

That's because most psychologists are left wing. They'd never see it in themselves. Most are also agnostic and atheists and thus would quickly see religion as a cult.
