I've had my FB account since 2007. Now a days I only use it to post memes that no one sees since I've been hella shadow banned form the Covid/2020 cheat era. But this is the first time I've been asked to use an authentication app. Google Authenticator? There's a name you can trust. I think I will go there and hand out even more personal information than they already have.
Could this be a way to start holding people accountable for their posts? Are we becoming like the UK and Germany, where people are being prosecuted for speaking out?
(instructions to access my account)
Go to your authentication app
Enter the 6-digit code for this account from the two-factor authentication app you set up (such as Duo Mobile or Google Authenticator).
Or I click "Choose another way to confirm" and get...
Choose a way to confirm it’s you
These are your available confirmation methods.
Authentication app
Get a code from your authentication app.
Need another option?
To keep your account safe, accessing it without your usual login methods can take a few days. To get started, go to authentication app.
