Many similar symptoms to photokeratitis which can be caused by certain types of UV lights These lights can cause burns to the skin and damage the retina. Nobody would even know it was there. Just a theory as it doesn't really explain the runny noses and other symptoms.

Here are a few cases where large groups were injured.
