I think Iran has been specifically avoiding casualties. Iran is trying to avoid an escalation to war, while demonstrating to Israel that they can penetrate their defense and destroy them if it is totally necessary.
1 Thes 2:14-16 "For you, brothers and sisters, became imitators of the churches of God in Christ Jesus that are in Judea, for you also endured the same sufferings at the hands of your own countrymen, even as they did from the Jews, who both killed the Lord Jesus and the prophets, and drove us out. They are not pleasing to God, but hostile to all people, hindering us from speaking to the Gentiles so that they may be saved; with the result that they always reach the limit of their sins. But wrath has come upon them fully."
You neglect the entire Old Testament where Israel is God's land. God is not pleased with the Jews but He will save them from being exterminated. He will take them through the Tribulation. Romans 9-11 says God will work again with them after the fullness of the Gentiles is over---the Church. Iran could not possibly be that good as to avoid casualties with ballistic missiles---many destroyed before they hit the ground and fell all over the place----Iran wants to wipe Israel off the map and has said so many times. Escalation is coming and it is all written down in the Bible 2600 years ago. I hope no Christian is left behind but I know that is not what the Bible teaches. Many luke warm Christians will endure the first 3.5 years of the Tribulation.
God won't allow the Jewish race to go extinct, but he may also want the current country of Israel, which bears the star of Remphan, to be removed from the map.
It is hard to be sure, but ~2000 years ago he had them removed from the map and other than the remnant, they haven't changed their mind about rejecting his Son and worshipping Remphan/Saturn.
Acts 7:43 - "You also took along the tabernacle of Moloch and the star of your god Rompha, the images which you made to worship. I also will deport you beyond Babylon."
Removing them from the map is not in prophesy. After establishing Israel for a second time---which happened in 1948--- Israel is there until Jesus returns to establish His Kingdom on earth from Jerusalem. It is not going to be easy for them since in Zach 12 states the whole world will come against the in "that day". There are many Jewish Christians in Israel. Not all Jews are bad just like not all Italians are Mafia. Ezek 36 states that when God brings them back into the land it is not for their sake, it is to prove to the world that He is God and He did it for His names sake fulfilling prophesy!
I find it hard to determine which interpretation of the end times is correct, but I am convinced that cheering on Occult/Talmud Jews as they murder the neighboring Christians is sin. Lebanon is 35% Christian and there are many Palestinian Christians. Lebanon was majority Christian before Remphan's Israel was founded in 1948.
From what I can see, the attacks against Lebanon are unprovoked murders against a people who wanted peace. I think Iran defending Lebanon against Remphan's Jews is similar to Joshua defending Moses's Jews against Amalek in Exodus 19.
