I remember learning about Columbus the settlers and how many diseases came about that were devastating for the local tribes who were un protected from them. I saw no shying away from the past in my school teachings. I thought we were to be unburdened by what has been. Why is she and her buddies constantly trying to burden everyone with what has been?
