I don't get why founding out we're not alone in the universe is so earth shattering. The Bible has mention of other worldly beings so religion is safe. Science is safe cuz we know stars have planets and there's plenty of stars so do the math.
Well, it means that they either are from very close by or they have space propulsion tech that makes light-years a very tolerable distance to travel.
