American citizens, in their own country, SHOULD NOT have to compete with the entire world for jobs in America... please DOWN VOTE if you disagree and then tell us why.

I need to add a joining consideration that should not be forgotten. And that is the outpouring of investment capital into the industry of China. Had that investment occurred in America, there would be a profusion of jobs, maybe even too many for American labor to fill. It has always been true that the greatest number of jobs, across all levels of skill and talent, has been manufacturing. We don't need jobs only for the geniuses. They represent about 0.1% of the population. We need jobs for everyone, or a LOT of people are going to be left behind. Maybe 25% of the people have an I.Q. no higher than 75...what are we supposed to do about them? Shoot them? It is all so very easy for the skilled and talented to complain about the competition at the top, and thoroughly forget everyone who cannot even dream of competing at that level.
So, we should talk about H-1B visas for outsourced labor only in the context of also talking about not offshoring our erstwhile native industries, and sending jobs overseas (both unwelcome ideas).
Eventually, this will have to bring in the subject of population perpetuation. At present birth rates, we are beneath the perpetuation ratio of 2.1 children per married pair. No thanks to 40-50 million abortions from Roe v. Wade. Be prepared for the argument that (1) this is why we need immigrants, and (2) immigrants have a higher birth rate. In response to that, we need to bring out a strong advocacy for marriage, child birthing and rearing, and families. We have let entire generations be sacrificed by being ripped from the womb, or by being out-prioritized by iPhones, games, and virtual cosplay (they call it "social media", but I'm calling it what it is). There is a lot of flat-out denigration of normal life...by the culture and the media.
Your whole comment should be a standalone thread. You have a broad understanding of the finer details surrounding this carefully deployed "wedge issue."
That point hits the nail squarely right on the head. America never has a problem with migrant workers when American corporations do not export the jobs!
And of course, the Bush/Clinton globohomo swamp is entirely responsible for doing exactly that over the last 30+ years.
Failure has consequences. People don't like hearing it, but 40+ years of American society playing make-believe about our failed education system (thanks Jimmy Carter/Uncle Sam) combined with US investments in communist China,, and elsewhere have caused severe problems.
People who mistakingly think that America can fix itself by simply using all of these god-damned retarded cucks that have been coming through our education system, while the number of quality jobs has declined are having a pipe dream, and are overdue for a harsh reality check.
This broken facade of country needs major help from the best people we can find, from anywheres in the world! American society is in a state of crisis. This is an emergency.
Thanks for the backup.
As a union member facing this problem, I tend to think, yes, we do have enough Americans to fix THE JOBS WE HAVE AVAILABLE. But that is a challenge. The real answer is to redirect capital investment back into America so as to produce a huge number of jobs (and terminate the H-1B visas). If foreigners want to come and work in competition with everyone, that would be fine. But I think it will require unionization to prevent two-tiered employee hiring. The unions need to be brought into this.
The more I think on this, the overseas investment and the importation of foreign workers are two aspects of the same thing: having all our goods manufactured in foreign lands by foreign workers, and having all our domestic services performed by foreign workers (at foreign wage rates). i.e., get rid of the American worker. First, make them stupid. Then, make them kill their babies. Then make them dependent on welfare. (Or all at once. I'm not a stickler for sequence.)
