For many years our political, media, business, educational, and religious leadership have promoted the notion that our nation was built by immigrants and can not prosper without a continuous supply. It is not surprising that the leaders and citizens of these less prosperous nations have deluded themselves into believing that is true. Our abrupt change is going to be a shock to their system and they will have to get accustomed to the new reality. Many in our own country will have to change their thought patterns also. All I can say is “about time”.
