I don't have a problem with the high-speed-rail project. At the end of the day it's actual infrastructure that will be useful - though it goes to benefit Commiefornia, it's potentially a good economic link between the different parts up and down the coast and hopefully will relieve some of the horrible traffic out there.
It's going from a place no one lives or works to a place no one lives or works with no supporting infrastructure. It won't relieve one car of the traffic situation.
I just want to point out that the title of this post is misleading. Brian Dahle is a patriot, farmer, and former state Senator of California who, if you bother to watch the video, was bringing to everyone's attention that the California legislature cut $75mn in funding for veterans housing and voted to to give an additional $1.2bn to the high speed rail project. If you look at his post history on X you'll see that he was often leading the fight against Gavin Newsom's numerous financial boondoggles.
If I have to assume something, I would have assume that it's his priority to bail out those failed projects. Of course, I have not seen his other posts. I didn't know anything about him. Thanks for pointing it out that he is a patriot.

I'll pay a private company to install it instead of California government.

At the end of the day, they spent many billions and have next to nothing built....
