He and a pal were walking around Cairo taking about this and that and Hitchens tore an islamic poster off a wall to make some point or other. They were surrounded by enraged muslims who wanted to kill Hitchens but his pal talked them out of it somehow and they both lived.
He obviously didn't know about cause and effect and moral responsibility, he nearly got himself and his pal killed by debating some intellectual point, if he wants to die then go ahead but don't include a friend, that is morally irresponsible to the Nth degree.
But to give him a chance, he was probably very drunk as he nearly always was.
Do you have too much stupidity wedged between your ears that you can't read the comment and see the point which flew over your head? A good plan for their families maybe, but personally, I view these mainly civil servants as traitors and they should be treated as such.
