I found out recently that a relative was recommended by her doctor to get a few rounds of chemo as a preventive measure for breast cancer. She never had cancer but her doc told her she was high risk and chemo might reduce the risk by 19% so it would be worth it. She went ahead and did it! Now I wonder how long until it shows up and will the doctor just say "well, it's never a sure thing, you just got unlucky."
