Confirmed: A series of subsea cable outages in the Red Sea has degraded internet connectivity in multiple countries including #Pakistan and #India; the incident is attributed to failures affecting the SMW4 and IMEWE cable systems near Jeddah, Saudi Arabia 📉

Jeddah, Saudi Arabia Latitude and longitude coordinates are: 21.492500, 39.177570.

Also, a thought: Was Cloudflare down because some of their crucial, but naturally outsourced, admin staff were in India or Pakistan? No internet, no Cloudflare service?

Another question: the leg on that map that was affected, connected the Northern Red Sea (Israel, Egypt) to the Southern Red Sea (Yemen, Ethiopia).

I am on the fence about who was the perpetrator, so far. It could be multiple parties, as well.
