I am a Formula 1 fan and while watching the latest race I noticed something that made me jump and I knew there was something strange about it so I decided to look into it and it led me to a rabbit hole with some of the usual suspects.

For those that don't know, the trophies for F1 races are not standard and it's usually up to the race organizers and sponsors to provide them and during each race they are displayed prominently during the opening sequences before the race starts and well as most notably, during the podium ceremony as they are awarded to the team and drivers.

As soon as I saw the most recent trophy I got weird evil vibes from it so I knew I had to dig into it. When you look at the trophy, it is supposed to be a "chimera", a combination of 3 different animals, in this case supposedly representing the fastest animals in the air (peregrin falcon), the sea (sailfish), and on the land (the cheetah). But I wasn't buying that. The only prominent feature of the cheetah that is visible on the trophy is supposed to be the tail, mirrored at the top for whatever reason. That is no mirrored cheetah tail, those are horns and no amount of artist-talk was going to convince me otherwise.

So I looked into the artist that was commissioned for this job, Nico Vascellari, and lo and behold, up pops this dude with really sketchy connections and who is supposed to be prominent in the "underground arts scene". Not a lot of information on him is available out there and if you do find any of his performances or interviews on youtube, the guy seems like a nobody with his stuff only getting views in the low thousands. However, he still seems incredibly well connected and every article on him praises his work and his style. IMMEDIATELY as soon as I saw his interviews, it seems like in most of his recent public appearances he's seen wearing his favourite hat, one that clearly says SATAN and tries to play it off as a quirky anagram of SANTA.

An italian article for ELLE magazine from a few years ago is where I found the most details about his career and about two thirds down the article it says that in the year 2006, after bouncing around several arts residences, he met our old friend MARINA ABRAMOVIC in new york, who quickly took him under her wing as a protege and his career has flourished ever since.

He is currently tied to the world of high italian fashion, as his partner is the heiress of the Fendi fortune, and just by having a quick look at pictures of his studio it's easy to find satanic symbols. Also his sculptures are equally grotesque.

Remember that these people are embedded everywhere and even if the F1 race organizers had no idea or it wasn't their intention, the result is that we now have artifacts imbued with satanic symbolism and intent being presented to millions of people in what was supposed to be an innocuous celebration of talent and entertainment.
