Why should it be an employers job to certify the citizenship status of somebody showing up to work? Isn't that what we pay taxes for government to do?
Employers are trying to run a business. It's governments job to make sure there is a productive tax and regulatory environment for its citizens to prosper. Employers have enough todo without being forced to do governments job as well.
