My view: He was resisting arrest. While concealing a firearm. Licensed or not, this was a huge mistake. (Obviously). And if it's true he had a Sig 320, this was a huge mistake also. I wonder how long he's had a concealed license. He doesn't seem to be trained in proper protocol for carrying a weapon. And why a 320, in a holster, the worst possible firearm to have on your body when in physical alterations with numerous people? Did he have that model because it was cheap? Whoever sold it to him probably laughed all the way to the bank, thankful to be rid of the piece.
