Yes, I read how the owner is moving to Florida and the companies HQ is moving to Tennessee. Both red states.

Indeed it is. Just another 8 years until we can retire and get away from this state, if it lasts that long.
And because a number of employees were assholes & conducted a strike. Those employees can not transfer to another store. They are out of a job.
Honestly, I don't think the move will save Starbucks. They're facing a two front war of the coffee market being oversaturated with much better shops and customers realizing they don't want to pay $10 for 800 empty calories.
