If we are tracking stickies for their newsworthiness and or catch-up-ability, then why are we allowing mods to sticky their own random posts like memes for 24 hours? Doesnt that kind of defeat the purpose of using stickies to highlight relevant information?

I was referring to the still stickied self flaired 24hr sticky by someone else. Crap like that sways people from coming here for their info as it signals the place is compromised by, essentially, reddit style moderation
I agree yall are great at taking sticky requests, this isnt necessarily a gripe with the sticky system overall. Just the abuse of it
