Democrats are trying to block the deposition of Jonathan Winer. This meeting of Homeland Security Committee was to add new names to the list of subpoenas already voted on (Brennan, Clapper, etc. already voted on weeks ago) and for Chairman Johnson to publicly castigate Ranking Member Peters.
Readers Digest version - Democrats (and Lawfare allies) are desperately trying to block the deposition of Jonathan Winer (one of the already issued subpoenas from weeks ago along with Brennan, Clapper, etc.). Winer is one of two witness that refused to cooperate with DOJ I.G Horowitz's investigation into Crossfire Hurricane.
For most readers... particularly our foreign readers, this name will be unfamiliar and obscure. Winer will turn out to be a key witness and conspirator, he has a long track record with Christopher Steele, (back to the days when Steel was the Chief of the Russia Desk for MI6) ... and that is one of the main reasons why the Democrats and Lawfare have been fighting so long and so hard to keep investigators away from Winer and to keep him out of sight of the public. High chance of Arkancide with this guy. He is holding a very very big can of worms.
Below is a link to today's very short full meeting (22 minutes) but you really only need to listen to Sen Johnson's and then Ranking Member Sen Peters opening remarks (about 5 minutes) to get the gist of what is at play.

I have been watching scenes like this about Jonathan Winer in House and Senate committee meetings for over two years now. Republicans have been shutting down the Democrats just by mentioning his name in the course of proceedings / like pulling the pin in a hand grenade but holding it in your hand not releasing the actuator). More detail on this if you are interested, leave a request and I will reply with links to earlier comments about what this is about from over on thedonald.win on this subject. Fair warning... a rabbit hole.

I'm from the US and I've never heard of this guy. Interesting that relatively unknown names are floating to the top now. I guess a good indicator of who knows what might be to watch who the Dems scramble to silence/block access to.
Rubber finally meeting the road...
