Then go to a Twitter thread as normal, you should be able to view it without any demands to login. That should only appear if you attempt to post. Start bookmaking the people you want to follow in the browser.

If that still doesn't work, try a different browser which has no cookies stored anywhere, but never ever use the mobile app as you have to be logged in to read anything with that.
