But - you will never see any swampcreature actually praying (more than Just folding their hands) because, on the bigger spiritual picture, it is forbidden to them. They worship "their" god, in darkness, in rituals. They are only allowed to deceive to a certain Level - there is a big Red-line for them however. Biden's blabbering about "You know, the Thing" gives you a good Impression on what i am talking about. He wasn't even allowed to abuse the (simple!) word "God"
