I've seen a couple threads with this theme, it's refreshing that most have decided to put their disgust and vengeance in their pocket. My wife and I have been describing it as trying to convince someone the sky isn't really blue on a sunny day. They have fallen unwittingly into a cult, fed bullshit by a criminal media for decades. My problem with these folks starts when I think about "how is it that I believed none of what I hear and half of what I see?" Why wasn't I manipulated, my parents are hard core lefties and have been all their lives but somehow I sought out opposing viewpoints to understand the other side, when I looked and investigated to confirm my belief system I found out I was wrong. These people and my parents are unwilling to look outside themselves, I throw truth bombs here and there but sometimes the mockery is all I can take. Still "vengeance is mine says the Lord" I will still put any feelings of mocking them away, the time for those taunts is over, to me... that isn't what makes me a conservative, republican or whatever we may wind up calling ourselves, it's genuine care for others no matter the circumstances. It's not the time or place for gloating, it's truly a time to heal one another. Gah, there's no easy answer, I'd like to think I'll be understanding but above all I'm human and not infallible to the 7 deadly sins.
